Do you require hands-on skill practice with your CPR and first aid courses?

Yes! If you are looking for a program that does not require hands-on skills, our programs are not for you. The most important part of learning in our courses is working with a qualified Instructor to develop and practice critical lifesaving skills. That is something you cannot do on a computer.

We offer programs with eLearning, eliminating the need to spend valuable time in a classroom setting going through academic material you are perfectly capable of learning on your own, at your own pace when it is most convenient for you. This allows for more practice under the guidance of your Instructor, allowing you to gain confidence in your skills.

Taking a course does not automatically mean you will be certified. Every student certification is earned once you demonstrate full competency in both the academic material and required skills. We find this blended approach works best with feedback from students feeling confident in their ability to respond in an emergency after taking our courses.

Will I receive a physical certification card? How long is certification valid for?

Upon completion of all required e-learning and in-person skill assessments, your Instructor will submit for certification and you will receive a digital certification card/certificate that is valid for 2 years for all CPR and First Aid courses, or 1 year for Bloodborne Pathogens.

Regular retraining to maintain current certification will ensure your lifesaving skills are kept up-to-date.

What do I need to bring to the class?

Students should come prepared to the class with:

  • eLearning course work completed
  • Pen and paper for taking notes
  • Payment for any remaining balance due
  • Comfortable clothing and shoes for floor work to practice skills with CPR dummies (if applicable)
  • Drinks and food/snacks you may want
  • A willingness to learn and participate in the fun!
