Course Description
This course is cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and automated external defibrillator (AED) use combined into one program. It is designed to teach the techniques to administer CPR, first aid, and utilize an AED in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults.
This comprehensive program is appropriate for workplace training or general knowledge to be better prepared day to day. The CPR and AED components cover the knowledge needed to address one of the largest causes of death in the world. Intervening with this knowledge can possibly save a life. The first aid program reviews common techniques to treat serious emergencies, as well as less serious, more common issues.
This course meets or exceeds the 2021 ILCOR/AHA guidelines and the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 standards and guidelines for CPR and first aid training within the aquatic workplace and is accepted by the U.S. Coast Guard to meet the training requirements per 46 CFR 10.401.
Course Structure
eLearning followed by a 5 hour in-person class with Instructor
1 or 2 day options depending on group size/preference, larger groups may require additional time
Prerequisites
This course is designed for anyone to take, no experience necessary
Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent
Required Reading
A link to access the eLearning course will be emailed to each student and must be completed prior to the in-person class
Course Fee
$125 - includes eLearning course, academic session with Instructor, and certification processing
Course Materials
All students are required to have an oronasal resuscitation mask, you can bring your own or add $15 to the course fee
